Michael Cohen has secret tapes of Trump discussing Playmate payout — and now the FBI has them

On Friday, the New York Times reported that President Donald Trump's former personal counsel and fixer, Michael Cohen, recorded a conversation in which the President acknowledged payments to a former Playboy model.

Rudy Giuliani, Trump's personal lawyer, confirmed that Trump had discussed a payment, but that a payment was never made. He told the Times that the president is not guilty of any wrongdoing.

The New York Times reported that the FBI seized the recording this year during a raid on Cohen’s office.

"Prosecutors want to know whether that violated federal campaign finance laws, and any conversation with Mr. Trump about those payments would be of keen interest to them," the newspaper noted.
