Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) fell during a Republican caucus lunch on Tuesday, MSNBC reported.
Reporters spotted emergency medical staff heading into McConnell's office following the incident.
John Bresnahan, from Punchbowl News, said that McConnell, the outgoing Senate leader of the Republicans, spoke to his party members during the lunch before falling. He was not present during a Republican press conference that followed.
McConnell has had a number of health concerns over the past few years, including appearing to freeze while speaking on two occasions. This also isn't the first time he has fallen.
