'More than 20' women now accuse Fox News chief Roger Ailes of sexual harassment

The legal team representing former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson in her sexual harassment suit against Roger Ailes said on Thursday that the number of women accusing Ailes of sexual harassment has risen to 20 and that "(t)he messages are still coming in."

According to the Guardian, the accusations have been steadily rolling in since Carlson announced two weeks ago that she was leaving the network and suing her former boss.

Carlson's attorneys claim that some of the accusations against Ailes date all the way back to his days as an executive at The Mike Douglas Show in the 1960s. Ailes' behavior was apparently constant and pervasive. He was reportedly a fountain of lewd comments and told women that if they wanted to build a career for themselves, they would have to give in to his demands for sex.

Carlson's lawsuit states that Ailes told her, "I think you and I should have had a sexual relationship a long time ago and then you’d be good and better and I’d be good and better." The executive would ask Carlson -- a former Miss America and Fox News employee of 11 years -- to turn around and show him her posterior.

The accusations have shaken up the network and some of its highest profile personalities -- including Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren -- have could leave Fox News if Ailes loses his job.

Ailes has denied any allegations of impropriety. Fox is currently conducting an internal investigation into the matter headed by white show law firm Paul, Weiss.

that the writing is on the wall for Ailes and that Fox News' only question is whether to announce his removal as the company's CEO during or after the 2016 Republican National Convention.
