Morning Joe laughs out loud at Fox News reactions to Rod Rosenstein reports

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough laughed out loud at Fox News hosts reacting to reports that deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein suggested secretly recording President Donald Trump.

The "Morning Joe" host wasn't surprised by some of the more outrageous claims made by hosts Sean Hannity and Jeanine Pirro, but he said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) should be embarrassed by his comments on the conservative network.

"First of all, Sean Hannity and Jeanine Pirro both saying this is a setup, that the 'deep state' wants Trump to fire Rosenstein, and did not take the bait," Scarborough said.

He said Graham's arguments were even more ridiculous.

"Secondly, I do not know how my friend Lindsey Graham could say with a straight face -- because I had a judge in torts class that would say if you can make an argument for a jury, it's got to pass the straight face test," Scarborough said. "You have to make the argument in front of a mirror and if you start laughing, don't make it in front of a jury."

"Lindsey should have done that before going on Fox News and saying that the FBI was furiously trying to elect Hillary Clinton before the election when, in fact, you had (deputy FBI director Andrew) McCabe leaking damaging stories about the Clinton Foundation to the Wall Street Journal," he continued.

"Then you had James Comey, the FBI director, 10 days before the election putting out a letter that was absolutely devastating to Hillary Clinton," Scarborough added, "and put out in such a way that the only thing you could do would be severely damage Hillary Clinton's presidential hopes, even the Trump team said there is no way they could have won that election without Comey."
