'Are NATO allies like your children?' Trump pressed about being called 'daddy'

President Donald Trump was pressed about being called “Daddy” by Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Schoof, during his final NATO press conference on Wednesday.

“The NATO chief, who is your friend, he called you daddy earlier,” Deborah Haynes from Sky News said, “Do you regard your NATO allies as kind of like Children?”

Haynes attempted to extend her question but Trump interrupted.

“No, he likes me.” Trump said. “I think he likes me. If he doesn't let you know that I'll come back and I'll hit him hard, okay?”

The president added that Schoff called him “daddy” in a “very affectionate way.”

Haynes tried to get the rest of her question in “Do you regard your NATO allies though as can of like children and they will not listen to and are spending more—”

Trump attempted to interrupt again but Haynes pressed on

“Do you hope that actually they going to be able to defend themselves ... defend Europe on their own?”

“I think you need the help a little but at the beginning,” Trump said. “And I think they will remember this day. This is a big day for NATO. This was a very big day. They took at one of the judgments agenda what we've been trying to raise money raise the rate for 30 years [and they did].”

Trump then moved on to other questions.
