President Donald Trump evidently responded to a segment on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" by attacking Republicans who criticized his tariffs.
The president complained Tuesday at a rally in Kansas City about a "heart-throbbing" report he watched on the show that morning about farmers hurt by his trade war, and the White House announced $12 billion in emergency relief for victims of those tariffs.
MSNBC ran the same report Wednesday morning and reported criticism from GOP lawmakers such as Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), who described the bailout as a "Soviet-style economy" -- and Trump was apparently watching again.
"Every time I see a weak politician asking to stop Trade talks or the use of Tariffs to counter unfair Tariffs, I wonder, what can they be thinking?" Trump tweeted. "Are we just going to continue and let our farmers and country get ripped off? Lost $817 Billion on Trade last year. No weakness!"
