A rabidly pro-Trump network awkwardly toed an invisible line outside the Conservative Political Action Conference as the former president's supporters spouted election conspiracy theories that threatened its platform on YouTube.
A correspondent from Right Side Broadcasting Network waded into the crowd to speak with Donald Trump's supporters -- one of whom suggested votes had been changed away from the former president from outer space, reported The Daily Beast.
"You know how they said they changed the votes using a satellite?" one woman said.
The bizarre claim went out to more than 100,000 viewers on YouTube, which has been cracking down on election-related disinformation, and RSBN correspondent Mike Nificent cut the woman off.
"We can't go there, we'll lose our entire platform," he said, backing away from the suddenly hostile woman. "We have to play by the rules."
Another woman claimed she had covered the election, and determined it had been stolen by President Joe Biden, and Nificent tried to fact check the falsehoods as quickly as they were offered up.
"Well, some would say that it hasn't been stolen," Nificent said. "They would say that Biden's won the presidency fair."
The woman asked whether her claims were getting the correspondent in trouble, and he tried to keep the tone light.
"Wink, wink," he said. "Biden won."
Social media platforms, including YouTube, have gotten tougher on conspiracy-mongers since the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection, and RSBN -- which the former president's fans see as essentially "Trump TV" -- has angered viewers by cutting off false claims about the election and coronavirus to avoid losing its platform.
"This is our bodies, this is 'mark of the beast' stuff and I don't care," Lindell said, before RSBN cut his microphone. "I'll just put it right out there, this is Revelation. I mean, if you're going to make them do that over in Israel — and why do you think they went to Israel first? What? That's kind of strange."
YouTube has deleted RSBN videos that promoted the Jan. 6 "Stop The Steal" rally that led to the insurrection, and the online network has been forced to cut off or have hosts talk over some of the most popular pro-Trump personalities during live broadcasts to avoid punishment.
"RSBN is so RUDE and I'm done with them," wrote one viewer after a host talked over a coronavirus conspiracy theorist.
