RNC chair refuses to say Roy Moore's name when confronted about why they're sending him money

Ronna Romney McDaniel refused to use Alabama senate candidate Roy Moore's name when confronted by CNN reporter Randi Kaye outside of the Republican National Committee offices.

"Well, we've said all along that these allegations are incredibly disturbing and if they are true that the candidate would be unfit to serve in office, McDaniel said. "But it's up to the voters of Alabama right now. This is democracy. We're going to see this play out."

She went on to quote President Donald Trump, who has endorsed Moore, and said that the RNC is "the political arm of the White House."

When asked what she personally believes, McDaniel refused to answer.

The Republican Party has sent a total of $170,000 to support Moore's candidacy.

CNN has asked multiple times for a representative of the RNC to come on, but they've refused. McDaniel's uncle, former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA), blasted Moore on Twitter Monday.

"Roy Moore in the US Senate would be a stain on the GOP and on the nation," Romney said. "Leigh Corfman and other victims are courageous heroes. No vote, no majority is worth losing our honor, our integrity."

Romney's comment prompted former White House senior aide Steve Bannon to go after Romney during a rally for Moore.
