Scott Jennings' repulsive blabber will leave his GOP pals wide open for a knockout punch

The most surprising thing about Karoline “KKKaroline” Leavitt’s announcement that she’s leaving her job as White House Press Secretary was that she had lasted so long in the first place.
Considering the track records of all of her predecessors, you’d think Trump would’ve installed a golden revolving door to the Press Room, along with all of the other unnecessary renovations he’s making to our White House while vandalizing D.C. to make America look as weak as possible on the global stage.
Weird how nobody’s ever asked KKKaroline about that, or what happened to all of the historical artifacts from the East Wing after he decided to bulldoze it.
Anyway, many people are saying Leavitt’s breaking point came when she learned she was on the decoy plane from Turkey, while Trump’s wet nurse, Natalie Harp, got to fly with him, as did Diet Coke Valet Walt Nauta.
However, some other people are suggesting that the decoy plane story is a decoy in and of itself, and that Trump flew back on an Air Force One tricked out like a hospital, including his full staff of 18 doctors. Because the media couldn’t have been allowed to see all of that, the second, or “decoy,” plane was packed with Cabinet members making sure the media had full access to them.
Weird if true, huh?
In all likelihood, KKKaroline most likely learned that a truncated maternity leave is bad for a postpartum new mom in all kinds of ways, but especially when she’s forced to return to multiple Trump scandals that also include her. Now that her reign of Trumpterror is coming to an end, one name being floated to replace her belongs to someone who’s already established himself as an ultimate Trumpsimp: CNN’s smarmiest, whiniest, and most compromised commentator, Scott “I’m Telling Mom!” Jennings.
Jennings has been repeatedly criticized for his personal attacks on his fellow panelists, from Leigh McGowan to Adam Mockler.
He's gone off the rails multiple times, condescendingly bullying panelists while incorporating the right-wing propaganda he’s more than happy to spread. Viewer complaints about Jennings have made him a liability for CNN, because he’s made it abundantly clear that he’s fine with Trump’s entire record of crimes against women, children, and the rest of humanity.
Which makes him the perfect replacement for Leavitt.
Trump demands loyalty above all else, yet never returns any. I don’t know why all of these people are letting him treat them so badly when he’s a convicted felon adjudicated rapist who’s mentioned in the Epstein Files roughly 36,700 more times than Jesus is mentioned in the Bible. We can just add that to the endless list of “why” questions that will never be answered, something Jennings excels at doing.
I’ve repeatedly tried to get any response on Twitter from Smug Scotty, but like most mediocre MAGA men, he’s never once replied. They love the ostrich method of ignoring the truth they don’t like, which will be hard for him to maintain from behind a podium.
Putting Jennings at the Press Room podium presents yet another opportunity for the Democrats to finally hire a Press Secretary of their own. If I had a dollar for every time I’ve written, podcasted, or tweeted about my idea, I would at least have enough dollars to pay my rent for a year.
It would be beyond simple and relatively inexpensive for the Democrats to set up a daily press briefing at the Capitol, which would take place after Scotty J finishes lying and bullying the media for the day.
The Democratic Press Secretary, their Deputy, and staff would need a couple of offices and a podium, and that’s about it. All press would be welcome to attend the daily briefing, regardless of which outlet they work for.
As for who should be in that role, let’s first eliminate who shouldn’t be doing it:
-current members of the government
-anyone considering a run for president in 2028
I realize that leaves a fairly wide-open field. I’d first look to someone who’s got media experience already, similar to Scott Jennings, but nicer, smarter, and not at all smug or treasonous.
Despite the title “Secretary” being gender-neutral, I will always prefer a woman in that role ever since Allison Janney played CJ Cregg on The West Wing. Putting a woman in such a vitally important public-facing and high-profile role matters, especially at a time when the Republican Party is systematically trying to take away all of our rights. She would be the grown-up alternative to Jennings and his juvenile antics, laying the groundwork to restore some dignity to the White House once Democrats get it back in 2028.
It’s unlikely my top choice, Jessica Tarlov, would be interested in taking a severe pay cut to leave Fox News, plus she’s performing a much-needed public service there five days a week on The Five. I’m not sure what the contracts are like over at MS Now, formerly MSNBC, but I could easily see Symone Sanders-Townsend taking on the press with her patented take-no-BS attitude.
My friend, former Republican strategist Cheri Jacobus, would also be stellar in the role, especially since she’s also been advocating for a Democratic Press Secretary for about as long as I have.
Some people have suggested I should be the Democratic Press Secretary, and that’s a no from me. I prefer a more behind-the-scenes role because I’m a bossy Taurus — but one who loves being part of a team. “Consultant” sounds pretty good, which I kind of feel I already am because I keep giving them my ideas for free.
Americans are craving the truth like it’s a fresh salad right now — we have no idea what’s safe and what might kill us anymore. And that’s something a Democratic Press Secretary would never lie about.
