Sen. Elizabeth Warren pokes fun at GOP, Wall Street during South Boston's annual St. Patrick's Day breakfast

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) took to the stage during South Boston's annual St. Patrick's Day Breakfast, using the opportunity to not only give an update on the Senate race, but also to poke some light-hearted fun at her Republican rival U.S. Senator Scott Brown.

"I'm the daughter of a maintenance man who became a professor and fought against big Wall Street Banks," Warren said. "If that doesn't ring a bell, you might remember me as the elitist professor from Hollywood who's running against Scott Brown."

Warren continued to throw out zingers during the breakfast, which is traditionally an excuse for the state's top politicians to make fun of each other publicly as well as partake in the St. Patrick's Day festivities, saying "it's rumored that St. Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland, but that unfortunately, too many went to Wall Street."
