Democratic National Convention attendees will receive a warning about Donald Trump's "extremism" from one of his own former press secretaries, according to a new report.
Stephanie Grisham is one of several Republicans who will mount the stage and speak at the Chicago convention this week, according to an exclusive NBC News report.
“I never thought I’d be speaking at a Democratic convention," Grisham told NBC in a statement. "But, after seeing firsthand who Donald Trump really is, and the threat he poses to our country, I feel very strongly about speaking out."
Grisham served as 2016 campaign, press aide, chief of staff for first lady Melania Trump, then briefly as White House press secretary briefly in 2019.

She tendered he resignation after the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
“Jan. 6, of course, was my breaking point,” Grisham later told NBC News. “I was really proud that I was, well, the first in the administration to resign.”
Grisham told NBC News her political views do not align perfectly with Vice President Kamala Harris, who will publicly accept the Democratic Party's presidential nomination this week, but she has earned her trust.
“While I don’t agree with Vice President Harris on everything," Grisham reportedly said. "I am proud to be supporting her because I know she will defend our freedoms and represent our nation with honesty and integrity.”
