Ted Cruz welcomed back to America with brutal video from The Daily Show

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) returned to America on Thursday after his highly controversial decision to flee Texas during a catastrophe for a vacation in Cancun.

Cruz had reportedly intended to vacation until Saturday but returned early after the public outrage. Cruz was harshly criticized for attempting to blame his decision on his daughters.

The scandal also has a hypocrisy angle, as Cruz had vowed to "work tirelessly each and every day."

The Daily Show welcomed the Texas Republican back to America with a brutal video montage showing Cruz complaining about Congress taking recesses.
