'That's not true!': MSNBC's Katy Tur clashes with Trump supporter Matt Schlapp for not accepting facts

MSNBC's Katy Tur got in a fiery exchange with American Conservative Union chairman Matt Schlapp over how often President Donald Trump lies.

The fight began when Tur brought up allegations made by anonymous White House staffers in Bob Woodward's new book "Fear" — and Schlapp wouldn't let her finish speaking.

"You have people telling Bob Woodward that the president is almost getting us into world war III," the host said. 

"Who are those people?" the Trump supporter asked, interrupting her. Later, he added that "this is the problem."

Tur went on to note that Trump "is lying on a daily basis" and Schlapp interrupted her again.

"I don't think that's right," the conservative said.

"It is true," the host responded, and Schlapp interrupted again, saying "no it's not."

Tur cited the Washington Post's tally of Trump's lies but Schlapp would still not let her finish her sentence.

Later, the pair got into the truth of the president's latest lie — that the GDP is at the highest it's been in 100 years.

Trump was so wrong on the claim that Fox News fact-checked him, but Schlapp insisted on defending the statement — a move that resulted in another bout of arguing about what is and isn't true between himself and the host.
