'This is just funny -- not fake news': View hosts mock Ivanka Trump's inability to laugh about awkward Rubio hug

The awkward hug shared between Ivanka Trump and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) was thoroughly mocked online, but Ms. Trump is calling it another example of "fake news." The woman of "The View" want to see the Trump family stop using the phrase for news that they don't like and instead reserve "fake news" to talk about actually fake news.

"She seemed not to be really into it," said co-host Whoopi Goldberg. "She calls it 'fake news' but, I mean, she doesn't look like she's into it."

Co-Host Sarah Haines encouraged the Trumps not to use the phrase lightly because "fake news was actually a hot topic and it was very misleading throughout this campaign. Fake news is when you're intentionally trying to mislead people. This is just funny, not fake news."

Fellow co-host Sunny Hostin couldn't figure out why Trump is frequently photographed wearing her sunglasses indoors.

The one thing the women agreed on was that Rubio's response was perfect. The Florida senator tweeted out his own mockery alluding to Trump's made-up word "covfefe."

Even co-host Jedediah Bila noted that if it was President Donald Trump, Twitter would be lighting up and accusations flying, while Rubio can have fun with it and have a sense of humor.

"If it was him he'd be hugging Ivanka, trust me," co-host Joy Behar joked.

To Hostin, the hug to her indicated the two had a relationship and Ivanka's stiffness indicated she didn't think they did.
