Top GOP lawyer busted for posting picture of Mitch McConnell holding severed head of Merrick Garland

Republican operative Mike Davis reportedly deleted a tweet depicting Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) holding the severed head of Judge Merrick Garland, who was nominated for the Supreme Court.

McConnell infamously refused to even hold a hearing on the nomination made by former President Barack Obama.

Mike Davis, who was chief counsel for Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) when he chaired the Senate Judiciary Committee, also worked on the confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Lawrence Hurley, a Supreme Court reporter for Reuters, noticed the deleted tweet.
