Trump bars Univision from covering campaign event -- then vows to 'win with the Hispanics'

The feud between Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and the Univision network flared up again on Friday, when reporters from the network were barred from covering a campaign event near its Miami headquarters, the Washington Post reported.

Correspondent Lourdes Del Rio said that six Univision staffers were turned away by police from the event at the Trump National Doral Miami, located adjacent to Univision's offices in the city. One officer reportedly told her, "He said you're not allowed to be here," referring to Trump.

Trump's campaign released a statement saying Univision was barred from the event because of a "conflict of interest" stemming from the $500 million lawsuit he filed against the network in June. The suit accused Univision of trying to "suppress" his campaign.

Univision and Fusion anchor Jorge Ramos -- who was pushed out of a Trump press conference two months later -- criticized the campaign on Twitter, asking, "Freedom of the press?":

During the event, Trump reportedly said he was going to "win with the Hispanics."
