Trump is doing ‘the bidding of Russia’ and Putin is openly thanking him: Fox’s Shep Smith

On Friday, Fox News Shep Smith appeared shocked by President Donald Trump's irrational behavior to pull troops out of the Middle East.

"It's hard to believe what happened," Smith said.

Trump pulled troops out of Syria and is looking to withdrawal about 7,000 troops out of Afghanistan.

Trump made this decision despite his closest aides warning him against it.

Smith said that "everyone in his administration and everyone in the Pentagon" told him not to do so.

In a rebuke against Trump’s decision, Secretary of Defense James Mattis submitted his resignation letter.

"The president gets off a phone call with the president of Turkey and does the bidding of Russia and Vladimir Putin thanks him while the defense secretary resigns. It's unprecedented in American history, isn't it?" Smith said.
