Trump is doing ‘the bidding of Russia’ and Putin is openly thanking him: Fox’s Shep Smith

Published

on

On Friday, Fox News Shep Smith appeared shocked by President Donald Trump’s irrational behavior to pull troops out of the Middle East.

“It’s hard to believe what happened,” Smith said.

Trump pulled troops out of Syria and is looking to withdrawal about 7,000 troops out of Afghanistan.

Trump made this decision despite his closest aides warning him against it.

Smith said that “everyone in his administration and everyone in the Pentagon” told him not to do so.

In a rebuke against Trump’s decision, Secretary of Defense James Mattis submitted his resignation letter.

“The president gets off a phone call with the president of Turkey and does the bidding of Russia and Vladimir Putin thanks him while the defense secretary resigns. It’s unprecedented in American history, isn’t it?” Smith said.

There are three reasons Trump won, and some of the leading Democrats don't seem to understand any of them

If Trump wins in 2020—and right now, he stands a good chance of doing it—you can thank Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the neoliberals in charge of the Democratic Party.

Jake Tapper WTF

In his opening commentary, CNN host Jake Tapper attacked President Donald Trump's comments about four freshmen Congresswomen of color as racist.

"The president was seeming to be referencing Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), who were born in New York City, Detroit, and Cincinnati, respectively. As well as Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) who came to the U.S. as a child, a refugee from Somalia and has been a U.S. Citizen since a teenager, longer than the first lady."

He then called out Trump appointee Ken Cuccinelli who went down in flames during a CNN interview Monday when he tried to lie on air about not having read Trump's tweet. Cuccinelli was read the tweet during his appearance the day before. He ignored the fact-check, saying simply, "so what?"

Trump has Republicans ‘in a vice’ as bad as Charlottesville and Access Hollywood: MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace

Published

on

Donald Trump's increasingly toxic rhetoric against women of color has put the Republican Party in a "vice" of choosing between loyalty to the White House and voters disgusted by the bigotry the president had been broadcasting.

"Donald Trump today has the Republican Party in a vice the likes of which they haven’t experienced since Charlottesville and before that, in the aftermath of the “Access Hollywood” tape," Wallace explained, citing the biggest moments of Trump displaying his respective racism and misogyny.

"Republicans -- who have hardly been profiles in courage -- today found just over a dozen of their members break rank and slowly, timidly, begin to call out Donald Trump’s flagrant, bellicose, racist attacks against four female members of Congress," she reported.
