Trump calls Kavanaugh 'one of the finest people' after sexual assault allegations

President Donald Trump praised Brett Kavanaugh in the White House on Monday, one day after Christine Blasey Ford came forward to The Washington Post alleging sexual assault.

"He is somebody very special," Trump said on Monday.

"He is one of the great intellects and one of the finest people that anyone has known," Trump claimed.

President Trump also claimed it was a "ridiculous question" after a reporter asked if Judge Kavanaugh had offered to withdraw.
