MAGA fans wig out as Costco sues Trump: 'About to be the new Bud Light'

News that big box wholesaler Costco is taking Donald Trump’s administration to court over his tariff war — while demanding a refund — landed with a thud with the president’s most ardent defenders.

On Monday, Costco Wholesale lawyers filed a lawsuit that states, in part, “Because IEEPA does not clearly authorize the President to set tariffs ... the Challenged Tariff Orders cannot stand and the defendants are not authorized to implement and collect them.”

The filing comes as the Supreme Court is reviewing a challenge to the tariffs the president has been imposing as he bypasses Congress.

NBC News reported, “In May, on Costco's earnings call, Chief Financial Officer Gary Millerchip told investors that about a third of Costco's sales in the U.S. are imported products. Millerchip said items imported from China represented about 8% of total U.S. sales.”

With the company asking for its money back, MAGA fans are revving up for yet another boycott, with one Trump supporter on X, demanding, “Why should I give Costco money when they sue my President?”

X commenter Leftyslayer complained, “Costco immediately passed the burden to its customers. They took the profits during the good times and now they screw the citizens during downturn. They have no loyalty to the customer.”

“Patriot, and US Army Veteran” SeekNRealNews suggested, “This is unacceptable from Costco. They should have thought this through before alienating half of the country with their political agenda.”

Deep state critic Stu Young pointed to a previous boycott and warned, “Costco about to be the new Bud Light.”

“They want the Tariff money that's supposed to pay down the national debt. Bunch of clowns,” wrote Tony Remo, a virulent critic of Democratic lawmakers.

Concerned Citizen of AmericaFirstTrumplicans.com wrote, “FYI Costco is suing the Trump administration over tariffs.. This Christmas, join every Patriot and Christian and boycott your local costco. They need We the People more than we need them!”

“Costco is actually SUING President Trump and demanding tariff refunds. Yes — the same Costco that profits off American families every single day is now trying to claw back money from the man fighting to bring U.S. manufacturing back. Absolutely pathetic. Costco should be ASHAMED of themselves,” Trump fan Wienerdogwifi ranted.
