A new report from Rolling Stone claims that former President Donald Trump's campaign is contemplating launching a new attack on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis that comes straight out of a junior high school playground.
According to the report, Trump's advisers have been urging him to mock DeSantis for purportedly having "diminutive genitalia," and they've told Trump that "such insults could stick with GOP primary voters and mess with his rival’s head."
Rolling Stone's sources say that Trump gave this strategy a test run earlier this year when he floated the nickname "Tiny D" for the Florida governor, and one Trump adviser tells the publication that the name is a deliberate attempt to plant a seed in voters' minds that DeSantis has a small penis.
"He’s also short but … yes of course it’s about his penis, that’s why we’re doing it," said one source.

The magazine notes that Trump has trotted out other "dark and puerile" attacks on DeSantis before, most notably when he promoted a social media post accusing DeSantis of being a "groomer" of teenage girls and another post in which Trump implied DeSantis was a closeted homosexual.
Estranged Trump adviser Jenna Ellis, who has recently been allying herself with DeSantis, predicted to Rolling Stone that these attacks would fall flat.
"Who would have thought saying ‘Florida is the worst state,’ calling DeSantis ‘Rob,’ attacking Kayleigh McEnany, and pushing the absurd allegation that Casey DeSantis ‘faked cancer’ wouldn’t convince voters," she said.
