Election workers in Georgia issued a dire warning to the public after President Donald Trump's FBI raided the Fulton County Election Hub and Operations Center on Wednesday.
Trump's FBI executed a search warrant for all ballots from Fulton County's 2020 general election, including digital imagery, ballot counts, and voting machine information. The warrant also included a demand for the Fulton County voter rolls, which the administration has been trying to obtain from state and local governments throughout Trump's second term.
Fulton County officials held an emergency press conference outside of the election center after the raid was over.
"This is an assault on voters," Fulton County Commissioner Mo Ivory said. "This is an assault on your vote."
Trump has repeatedly lied that he won Georgia during the 2020 presidential election, even though he was recorded giving Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger directions to "find" 11,780 votes in the state, which would have tipped the state in Trump's favor.
