'Sinking ship song is applicable': Harris campaign takes digs at Trump 'free-fall'

Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign slapped back Monday morning at claims from Trump's team that she's ducking the media, responding with a withering round-up of the former president's recently reported missteps.

Harris spokesperson Jason Singer issued a press release lambasting Donald Trump and running mate Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) for interviews, rallies and press conferences he said were "cringe," "blowing it" and a "meltdown."

“Over at the Harris-Walz campaign we are joyous, raucous, and fired up — and on the road," the press release states.

"Our opponent: Less than three months from Election Day and Donald Trump is rage-posting nonsense and not campaigning. That’s the vision he wants to send to the American people of a kind of president he will be: unstable, unfit, and quite angry."

Team Harris then bombards Trump with a lengthy list of negative press clips and snarky takes on a campaign they say is in "free fall."

Trump's reported obsession with crowd size spurs the retort, "Maybe if he campaigned he’d get crowds too?"

Vance's attempt to cast Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) as weird prompts the sarcastic analysis, "HE IS NOT MAD!"

Trump's press conference last week is described as "a public meltdown where he struggled to hear and couldn’t tell the truth from reality."

The former president's late-night posts on Truth Social? "Grrrrrrrr," writes the Harris campaign, "that’ll reach swing voters."

"His campaign is in free fall," they write. "His aides are worried about his “disorienting” behavior and the fact Trump “is struggling to get past his anger.” (Have they met Donald Trump?)"

Perhaps the lowest jab comes in response to news that singer Celine Dion called out Trump, whom she publicly said she does not endorse, for using the theme song to "Titanic" on the campaign trail.

"Sinking ship song is applicable though," the Harris campaign quips.

"Donald Trump is self-obsessed, lashing out, proving exactly what this campaign has said all along: he’s running only for himself and couldn’t care less about making peoples’ lives better," Singer said.

"He isn’t actually campaigning, his public appearances are disasters, and his Project 2025 agenda is dragging him down as much as it would drag America backward. He doesn’t seem well."
