Trump mugshot has been hung outside the Oval Office: photo

President Donald Trump appears to have hung a photo of himself in the outer Oval Office hallway, an official photo released by the White House shows.

In a photo of Trump with visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Trump's mugshot is visible hanging on the blue wall near an Oval Office door.

The photo, which was released by the White House and which was shared by Modi on X, shows the beige Oval Office walls cluttered with dozens of paintings of past presidents stacked on top of each other, like a presidential collage. The Daily Beast first noticed that, nestled among them, was the famed mugshot taken after Trump was indicted in Georgia last year.

The mugshot appears to be on the cover of the New York Post tabloid. It's set in an ornate gold frame with black matting surrounding it.

In 2023, Trump became the first former president in history to have his mugshot taken after being indicted in a racketeering case related to Georgia's 2020 election. He was joined by 18 co-defendants, some of whom have since pleaded guilty.

Trump used the mugshot to put on campaign merchandise, including t-shirts that read "Never Surrender." They were mocked because the photo of him was surrendering to police.
