President Donald Trump's hate for the media can date back to the 1990s. Trump's presidency has been marked with phrases such as "fake news" and alternative facts."
While he was a business mogul, Trump poured a glass of wine on a reporter's outfit after she published an article he didn't like in Vanity Fair.
Reporter Marie Brenner profiled Trump for the magazine in 1990 in a piece titled "After the Gold Rush," which details his business dealings with then-wife Ivanka Trump.
In his book "The Art of the Comeback," Trump called Brenner an "unattractive reporter" and noted that "the story was, in fact, one of the worst ever written about me.”
However, Trump bragged about pouring wine down Brenner's back in 1992 for the New York Magazine.
Brenner responded to Trump by saying that she didn't even really notice it.
“It wasn’t a bottle, actually—it was a glass,” she said. “I didn’t even notice it was happening, because like everything with Donald, it was a stealth maneuver. It came from behind. It was a black jacket, so I’m still waiting for him to replace it" she said in an interview with the Daily Beast.
