Trump responded to Cohen plea deal with anti-Semitic comment: author Michael Wolff

A forthcoming followup to the blockbuster "Fire and Fury" tell-all reveals President Donald Trump's anti-Semitic reaction to some of his closest business associates accepting plea agreements.

Author Michael Wolff will publish "Siege: Trump Under Fire" on June 4, but excerpts show that special counsel Robert Mueller drew up a three-count obstruction of justice indictment against the president, which was ultimately shelved due to Department of Justice guidelines, reported The Guardian.

Mueller agonized over whether to charge the president, according to Wolff, and worked in constant fear that Trump would fire him or his boss, then-deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein.

The special counsel ultimately decided not to pursue the indictment, but his team farmed out up to 13 investigations that prompted plea agreements from former Trump Organization attorney Michael Cohen, who started serving a prison term last month after serving as a cooperating witness, and testimony from other Trump associates.

David Pecker, chairman of American Media Inc., and Trump Organization accountant Allen Weisselberg also agreed to provide testimony to Mueller's team, and the president responded with a seemingly anti-Semitic observation.

“The Jews always flip,” Trump said, according to Wolff.
