Trump spends Labor Day morning bashing labor leader over Fox News criticism

President Donald Trump spent Labor Day morning bashing a top union leader who criticized him over the weekend on Fox News.

The president tweeted out a shot at AFL-CIO leader Richard Trumka around 7:30 a.m., but deleted that tweet and reposted the message just after 11:30 a.m.

"Richard Trumka, the head of the AFL-CIO, represented his union poorly on television this weekend," Trump tweeted. "Some of the things he said were so against the working men and women of our country, and the success of the U.S. itself, that it is easy to see why unions are doing so poorly. A Dem!"

Trumka told "Fox News Sunday" that Trump's efforts to overhaul the North American Free Trade Agreement should include Canada.

"The things that he's done to hurt workers outpace what he's done to help workers," Trumka said.
