Trump staffer whines about getting heckled while walking down the street: 'I want to get home -- not debate'

An unnamed staffer who works at President Donald Trump's White House is sounding off on the allegedly poor treatment he's received from residents in Washington DC.

In an interview with Politico, the staffer says that he faces an openly hostile environment in Washington, as people in the street will routinely accost him because he works in the Trump White House.

"I have gotten yelled at a few times walking out of work," he complains. "I want to get home, not get in a debate in the middle of Pennsylvania Avenue."

This staffer isn't alone in feeling isolated in DC, either.

According to Politico, several young Trump staffers are finding that they are having an impossible time finding people who are willing to date them.

One 31-year-old woman who works at the Trump White House says that she has often tried to conceal what she does for a living just to score dates -- and then hope her dates don't freak out once they realize where she works.

“You do the small talk thing, and you have a very good conversation, and then they might say, ‘You didn’t vote for Trump, right?’” she explains. “As soon as I say, ‘Of course I did,’ it just devolves into all-caps ‘HOW COULD YOU BE SUCH A RACIST AND A BIGOT?’ And ‘You’re going to take away your own birth control.'"

The official also tells Politico that a recent date asked her, "Do you rip babies from their mothers and then send them to Mexico?"
