'How fun for him!' Trump's hush money lawyer mocked over latest court filing

Former President Donald Trump's lead attorney in his criminal hush money trial was subjected to mockery Friday on the heels of a new court filing.

New York judge Juan Merchan granted Todd Blanche permission to attend Trump's pre-sentence probation interview, a new court filing shows.

"For the reasons stated in the letter application of Todd Blanche, counsel for Defendant, and the People having taken no position, it is HEREBY ORDERED that Mr. Blanche is permitted to be present during the pre-sentence investigation interview of Defendant," Merchan ruled.

The letter, dated Friday, does not include information about when the interview will take place, nor does that information appear on Trump's public docket.

Trump is currently slated to be sentenced on falsifying business records charge on July 11.

Politico reporter Kyle Cheney shared the filing with his followers on X, prompting a quick retort from Mueller, She Wrote podcaster Allison Gill.

"How fun for him!" Gill quipped.

X user JJ in DC replied with a snarky suggestion as to the role Blanche would play in relation to his client: "Someone has to make sure that he doesn’t lie."

Armand Harmouth took a jab at Blanche's legal skills, writing "Too bad DJT couldn’t get a lawyer to attend."

To this, a classic movie film buff responded with a gif of Blanche DuBois' famous line from the film of "A Streetcar Named Desire."

It is, of course, "I have always depended on the kindness of strangers."

Blanche is no stranger to criticism as he received quite a lot of it when Trump was found guilty last week of all charges brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Bragg appeared to take his own small dig at the defense on Friday, when he released a newsletter that gave top billing not to Trump, but to pizza.
