Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to hold an address at an auto parts plant in Clinton Township, Michigan, on Wednesday night at 8:00pm EST.
The event, which comes one day after President Joe Biden joined the picket line of striking United Auto Workers in Detroit, has come under criticism from workers due to the fact that the plant in question is not unionized.
The former president was already warned by UAW not to go through with this speech — but he disregarded them.
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
Trump has attacked the Biden administration for standing with UAW, suggesting that his electric vehicle mandates will actually weaken the union by shipping jobs overseas — something UAW president Shawn Fain has dismissed as not true.
Additionally, Trump's event will be held one hour before his Republican rivals take the stage at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, to hold their second presidential debate, which, just like the first debate in Milwaukee, Trump declined to participate in.
Polls currently show Trump leading all of his rivals by over 40 points.
