Donald Trump and his enablers keep promising he'll change -- but the Republican presidential nominee keeps acting like the same blowhard he's always been.
For time being, since reshuffling his campaign team last week, Trump has mostly resisted lashing out at his GOP enemies and focused his attacks on his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, and media personalities such as MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough.
But that doesn't signal any meaningful change to his infamously thin-skinned temperament, reported the New York Times.
Trump, who is vying to become commander-in-chief of the most powerful military in human history, told the newspaper that he would never control his impulse to punish his critics for perceived slights.
“If people hit me, I will certainly hit back,” Trump said. “That will never change.”
