Washington neo-Nazi found guilty of killing three friends because he thought they ratted him out to police

Brent Ward Luyster, an infamous neo-Nazi from Washington state, killed three of his friends and fellow skinheads last summer -- allegedly because he learned the FBI was investigating him on weapons charges.

As The Daily Beast reports, Luyster was found guilty on Friday of three counts of first-degree aggravated murder, as well as "one count of attempted first-degree murder, and first- and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm."

Though Luyster entered a not guilty plea and his lawyer claimed he had no motive to kill his best friend Zachary Thompson, as well as his friend Joseph Lamar and Lamar's girlfriend Janell Knight, the prosecution claimed otherwise.

Two months prior to the July 2016 murders, Luyster was arrested for pistol-whipping his ex-girlfriend, Breanne Leigh-- and as prosecutor Laurel Smith claimed, he may have believed his friends "were cooperating against him with police."

"Now, we can’t know the defendant’s thought process. But we do know that he was stressed, that he was unhappy, that he was concerned, and we know that he was drinking," Smith said during the trial.

Luyster's attempted murder charge came from Leigh being shot in the face, though she survived -- and eventually testified against him.
