WATCH: Alan Dershowitz scolds fellow Trump-backer Sean Hannity for not disclosing his relationship with Michael Cohen

Though he was ostensibly brought onto Fox News host Sean Hannity's show to discuss fired FBI Director James Comey, regular guest Alan Dershowitz scolded the host for not disclosing to viewers that he has a personal (and likely professional) relationship with the president's longtime attorney Michael Cohen.

"First of all, Sean, I want to say that I really think that you should have disclosed your relationship with Cohen when you talked about him on this show," Dershowitz said, unprompted. "You could have said that you had asked him for advice or whatever, but I think it would have been much, much better had you disclosed that relationship."

The host cut him off by noting that their relationship was "minimal," to which Dershowitz, himself a lawyer, responded "you should've said that."

“You were in a tough position because, A, you had to talk about Cohen, and, B, you didn’t want the fact hat you had spoken with him to be revealed," the guest said.

“I have the right to privacy,” Hannity responded. “It was such a minor relationship.”

“You should have said that,” Dershowitz said.
