WATCH: Chaotic scenes outside courthouse as Kim Davis supporters scream at LGBT rights supporters

Same-sex marriage opponents harangued LGBT rights supporters outside a federal courthouse Thursday morning where Kim Davis will face a judge for a contempt hearing.

One man, wearing a T-shirt that reads "hear God," shouted through a megaphone that "the wages of sin is death."

Another man with a megaphone shouted at a group of same-sex couples that their relationships were sinful because they could not biologically produce children, and repeatedly screamed, "be judged by God," at them.

Reporters said the "shouting match is deafening" outside the Ashland, Kentucky, courthouse.

But one bystander pointed out that only those who opposed marriage equality had expressed "vitriol."
