Watch CNN's Jim Acosta politely school Infowars reporter on the First Amendment

On Wednesday, Infowars reporter Millie Weaver posted a video of her interviewing CNN's Jim Acosta.

Weaver tried to pin down Acosta as a hypocrite for advocating for the press yet not coming to the defense of Infowars after Alex Jones' materials were purged from various social media platforms.

"I don't really have any comment I'm sorry," he says. What appear to be guards started to try and separate Weaver from Acosta, but he stopped them.

"As a fellow journalist, hashtag free press, are you concerned at all ... "

"I certainly support freedom of the press," Acosta replied. "I support freedom of speech. I certainly don't like what we've seen over the last couple of years the president attacking the press." He added that those who use freedom of the press responsibly should have their rights protected.

She wondered if he thought the president had a First Amendment right to attack the media.

Acosta explained how the First Amendment and freedom of the press work in the US.

He said that he believes it's the president's First Amendment right to say bad things about the media. "But it's also within my First Amendment right to say that I don't think it's a good idea for the president of the United States to demonize the press and to call us the enemy of the people."
