Watch: Ex-Sheriff Clarke pouts like a child after Fox host says racism against Obama 'should be called out'

Former Sheriff David Clarke asserted on Thursday that the words "racist" and "bigot" are meaningless because liberals use them too much.

During an appearance on Fox News, the hosts of Fox & Friends asked Clarke to respond to ESPN contributor Jemele Hill, who recently accused President Donald Trump of being a white supremacist.

Clarke argued that Hill is a "back bencher" who was trying to raise her profile on ESPN with controversial remarks.

"You know, this term 'racism' is thrown around so much, it doesn't even have any meaning anymore," Clarke opined. "It's been so diluted. Everybody is a bigot, everybody is a racist, everybody is a fascist. Like, come on now. When sports starts to seep into politics, it's disastrous."

The former Milwaukee County sheriff reminded the Fox hosts that conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh was fired from ESPN for saying something about a black player that many people interpreted as racist.

And Fox News host Brian Kilmeade noted that former Fox host Glenn Beck was criticized internationally -- but not fired -- for calling President Barack Obama a racist.

"There were some things with the former president, Barack Obama, that people said," Clarke replied. "They were kind of tame but you could contort it into something racist or [however] you wanted to say it. And then everybody from the left came down on that person."

"And they should!" Kilmeade interrupted. "Because you shouldn't be calling the president that as you shouldn't be calling this president that."

The Fox News host's comments left Clarke appearing deflated.

"Well, you know, there's a double standard on the left," he griped under his breath. "We all know that."
