Senators will question William Barr, President Donald Trump's pick to lead the Department of Justice, during the opening of his confirmation hearings.

The Senate Judiciary Committee will question Barr on a number of legal issues, but his views on special counsel Robert Mueller will likely take up a significant portion of the hearings.

The hearings are scheduled to begin Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
