WATCH: Police release raw surveillance video of Christian Taylor before shooting at car lot

Surveillance video from a car dealership shows the moments right before Christian Taylor, an unarmed, black college football player, was shot and killed by Arlington police.

Arlington Police Chief Will Johnson said at a Saturday press conference four shots were fired and Taylor was struck multiple times. A Taser was also used, but the sequence of events is still not known. The officer who opened fire, Brad Miller, is on administrative leave pending the results of the investigation, in which the FBI is assisting.

Miller is the only officer who fired his gun, Johnson said.

In the video, aired by local NBCDFW, Taylor can be seen pulling up to the dealership and climbing over a fence. He wanders around the dealership then drives his car through the fence. He can be seen jumping on the hoods of cars. At the end of the video, an ambulance arrives.

Johnson said during the press conference further recordings of the incident will not be released publicly until the officers involved have been interviewed to avoid tainting the investigation.

An Arlington police sergeant had told the local station that officers in the Dallas suburb do not have body cams.

"Everything about the outcome of this incident is a tragedy," Johnson said. "Our community is hurting, a family is hurting and our department is hurting."

Johnson said he is in touch with the Taylor family.

"If this [shooting] was not justified there will be consequences," he said.

According to the station, police had arrived at the Classic Buick GMC dealership responding to a call of a burglary in progress at about 1 a.m. on Friday.

Taylor, 19, had previously expressed fears about being killed by law enforcement, tweeting last week, "I don't wanna die too young."

Taylor was a defensive back for Angelo State University, Yahoo News reports.

Taylor's death comes under intense national scrutiny and criticism of police shootings of unarmed African-Americans. Sandra Bland, Freddie Gray, Walter Scott, Mike Brown and Eric Garner are just a few of the people who have died in police custody since about this time last year.
