WATCH: Samantha Bee expertly describes what could be happening with Mueller probe as a teen movie

Comedian Samatha Bee on Wednesday explained one of the most intriguing theories about special counsel Robert Mueller -- as a teen movie.

Some people have speculated that Mueller knew former Donald Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort was lying to investigators, but let him keep doing it until Trump had submitted his written answers investigators -- thereby catching both of them in lies.

Bee played a clip of NBC News reporter Ken Dilanian explaining the theory but saying he was not ready to go there because, "that's pretty Hollywood conspiracy theory stuff."

"Well, I am prepared to go there and I am pretty Hollywood conspiracy stuff!" Bee replied.

She then imagined the interactions, where Mueller calls Manafort and was a fed "a bunch of bullsh*t."

And then Manafort "calls his BFF Trump" and instructs him to "say the same bullsh*t I said -- then we don't get in trouble."

Trump agrees and Mueller jumps in to say, "you're both felons!"
