CNN panel stunned after DNI head Dan Coats admits he still has no idea what Trump told Putin in Helsinki

During a panel discussion with CNN's Jake Tapper, his guest slammed the Director of National Intelligence, Dan Coats for not knowing the full details about what happened between President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin during their summit in Helsinki, Finland.

Tapper played a video of a reporter asking Coats a question regarding the summit.

"How do you explain the disconnect between what you are saying and what the president has said about the issue?" the reporter asked Coats during a press briefing.

"I'm not in a position to understand fully what happened in Helsinki or talk about it," Coats answered.

"I understand talking about it, but understand fully," Tapper said.

"A stunning but honest reaction I would say. We should be deeply disturbed as a country that the director of National Security does not know what transpired," Neera Tanden, president, and CEO of a liberal-aligned Center for American Progress said.
