During a joint press appearance with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, President Donald Trump listed things that the two leaders would be discussing during their meeting -- and he didn't once mention Russia's hacking of Hillary Clinton's campaign emails during the 2016 presidential election.
After congratulating Putin for the World Cup tournament his country hosted over the past few weeks, Trump went on to describe the issues on the agenda for their meeting.
"We have a lot of good things to talk about," said Trump. "We have discussions on everything from trade to military to missiles to nuclear to China -- China, we'll be talking about China, our mutual friend, President Xi."
Not mentioned anywhere is Russia's efforts to hack and distribute Hillary Clinton's campaign emails during the 2016 presidential election, which special counsel Robert Mueller outlined in stunning detail in an indictment of 12 Russian officials last week.
Earlier on Monday, Trump placed the blame entirely on the United States for poor relations between Washington and Moscow -- and Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs even popped up on Twitter to say "we agree" with the president.
