Donald Trump's chief of staff, Susie Wiles, has Pete Hegseth's number, according to an ex-insider.
Rick Wilson, who helped found the anti-Trump Lincoln Project, which is consistently filled with current and former Republicans who oppose the President, wrote on Substack about how Hegseth could potentially be facing jail time if certain news reports are true.
"It’s not just that the Hegseth team reflects his incompetence, lack of experience, and general ignorance of a complex, dangerous world. It’s that they’re spending the majority of their time trying to shiv one another," the strategist said in his brief.

But Wilson also added an after-the-fact detail about the leaks surrounding Hegseth.
In a note that said, "P.S. added late at night," Wilson dropped some news.
"This story leaked because Susie Wiles is settling all family business, and has Hegseth on her death list," Wilson claimed.
He went on to say the Wiles was behind the separation of Elon Musk from the Trump circles.
"She took out Elon. SECDRUNK Pete is an easier lift," Wilson said, referring to allegations related to Hegseth and alcohol abuse.
According to Wilson, Hegseth has only "weeks, not months," in his position, "if she has her way."
