'This trial is a giant Democrat Scam': Trump flails at Letitia James in rambling meltdown

Former President Donald Trump launched into an apparent stream-of-consciousness rant on Thursday morning after a bad day in a Manhattan courtroom on Wednesday.

With more former associates of the ex-president detailing how he manipulated property values in an alleged attempt to commit financial fraud, Trump lashed out with, at first, a positive spin on Wednesday's progress before launching into his latest meltdown about New York Attorney General Letitia James and Judge Arthur Engoron.

In a post on Truth Social, he wrote, "The New York State A.G., Letitia James, who sued me on a Statute NEVER USED BEFORE for such a case, had a bad day in the RIGGED trial going on in Lower Manhattan. Her appraiser witness was a disaster on the stand, and her ridiculous valuations were shown to be incorrect, without even discussing the $18,000,000 Value she ascribes to Mar-a-Lago."

POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?

He then spiraled into a rage, complaining, "This trial is a giant Democrat Scam, with a Trump/Developer hating Judge who does whatever Letitia demands. He is totally afraid of her, but fortunately has been overturned on many occasions by the Court of Appeals, including in our case, WHICH DECISION HE REFUSES TO EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE -Showing great disrespect to the Appellate Court."

He then ranted, "Businesses are watching this Witch Hunt Trial, and moving out of New York - And definitely not moving in!"

NY AG seeks 'forensic exam of Trump Org emails' after claims of Allen Weisselberg perjury

Last week, business publication Forbes wrote that longtime Trump CFO Allen Weisselberg had perjured himself during sworn testimony based on years-old emails that Weisselberg had sent the publication in which he tried to convince its reporters that Trump's apartment in Trump Tower was worth more than what they were estimating.

Now The Messenger reports that New York Attorney General Letitia James' office is requesting a "forensic examination of Trump Organization emails" between Weisselberg and Forbes to determine whether he really did lie under oath as Forbes had claimed.

Trump busted by Morning Joe for courthouse lie about being forced to attend trial

On Thursday morning, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough shared a composite clip of Donald Trump first complaining that he is being forced to attend his Manhattan bank fraud trial only to tell reporters four minutes later that he was on his way out the door to attend a golf event at his Doral golf course.

During a break in the proceeding on Wednesday the former president addressed the press outside the courtroom where he launched a diatribe aimed at New York Attorney General Letitia James, whom he claimed was making him attend the trial, therefore interfering with his ability to campaign for a second term after losing in 2020.

In the clip, Trump complained, "I have to be here instead of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, lots of other great places -- they want me to be here."

POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?

Four minutes later, Trump was asked: "Will you be here tomorrow?" to which he replied, "Probably not. I have a very big professional golf tournament at Doral, so probably not."

"Perfection!" the MSNBC host laughed as co-host Mika Brezinski exclaimed, "Oh my God!"

With the MSNBC chyron reading, "Trump can't remember own lie," Brezinski added, "The brain can't hold information," as Scarborough mocked the president.

Trump's latest furious rant against fraud trial destroyed by fact-checker

Former President Donald Trump was soundly fact-checked on Tuesday morning by legal reporter Adam Klasfeld following a Truth Social rant about the civil fraud case that's ongoing against himself and his adult sons in New York State.

"I will be attending the trial in Manhattan this morning," wrote Trump. "I greatly appreciate all of the legal professors and scholars that are saying I DID NOTHING WRONG. I can’t have a JURY and am being viciously tried under a Statute that has never been used before. The Radical Left Democrat Judge, WHO IS HIGHLY POLITICAL, serves as Judge, Jury, and everything else. America cannot let this happen. Our legal system is corrupt and broken! Everything emanates from Washington, 'GET TRUMP.'"
