Trump melts down at Fox News and accuses hosts of refusing to mention his name

After publishing a midnight rager on Truth Social aimed at New York Attorney General Letitia James and Judge Arthur Engoron, Donald Trump has been non-stop posting on his social media platform where, in one instance, he attacked the hosts of Fox & Friends for ignoring him and his accomplishments.

With Trump's financial tax fraud trial in Manhattan postponed until Tuesday, the former president has been filling his downtime with online rants and, based upon his Fox News comments, watching TV.

What drew his ire was Fox & Friends' hosts discussing the burgeoning war in the Middle East after Israel was attacked by Hamas militants and noting anti-terrorism efforts made by former presidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush without mentioning which ex-President Bush they were talking about.

POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?

According to Trump, they failed to mention his name and his similar efforts, which led him to accuse the network of restricting mentions of his name.

On Truth Social, he wrote: "Fox & Friends this morning stated that, under Ronald Reagan and George Bush (Which one?), there was a tough policy against Terrorists. They’re wrong on Bush, but they left out one person—'TRUMP,' who took out ISIS, al-Baghdadi, Soleimani, and everyone else who was in the way of Justice and Peace."

Moving on from the dubious claim of taking out "everyone else," Trump leveled accusations that he has become "he-who-shall-not-be-named" like Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter books at the conservative network, and the former president tried to pin the blame on retired Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) who now serves on the Fox Corporation Board of Directors.

According to Trump, "Next time maybe they could ask their Bosses, like RINO Paul RINO, for permission to use my name. The good news is, based on the Polls, the PEOPLE understand!"

Fox News ices Trump out of live interviews as his rage with the network grows: report

Former President Donald Trump's relationship with Fox News has been deteriorating ever since the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Now, according to The Daily Beast, it has grown so hostile that members of the former president's inner circle believe he has been blackballed from giving live interviews on the network altogether.

"In recent months, Trump's inner circle has become increasingly convinced that Fox News is essentially sidelining the former president by restricting live appearances on their network," reported Zachary Petrizzo. "'Trump is not allowed live on Fox,' a Trump operative told The Daily Beast, chalking it up to 'fear' that Trump could level a baseless allegation that could leave the network in a legal mess. A Trump adviser told The Daily Beast a similar story — that the former president isn’t allowed on live air anymore. At the very least, this person said, Fox News prefers to have Trump in a pre-recorded setting. 'Fox sent down word from the top that they don't want to ‘platform’ Trump like they did before,' a Trump adviser told The Daily Beast. 'I find it hilarious. For one, it sounds like something MSNBC would do.'"

Fox's Maria Bartiromo should be 'looking over shoulder' after Sidney Powell plea: Report

Add Fox Business News host Maria Bartiromo and former Fox News personality Tucker Carlson to the list of Donald Trump-adjacent people who should be very concerned by attorney Sidney Powell's agreement to come clean as part of a plea deal on Thursday.

According to CNN's Marshall Cohen, testimony that Powell could give in either the Georgia racketeering trial or, in Washington D.C. if Special Counsel Jack Smith puts her on the stand in Donald Trump's federal trial, could hand attorneys for Dominion Voting Systems more fodder for their billion dollar defamation lawsuits.

As Cohen pointed out, both Carlson and Bartiromo were neck-deep in promoting Powell's voting fraud conspiracy theories and any off-the-record conversations she may have had with them that becomes part of her testimony under oath could be entered into evidence in the civil suits.

POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?

Writing for CNN, he explained that Carlson and Bartiromo should be "looking over their shoulders."

After pointing out the dangers her testimony could hold for Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani and others in the Georgia racketeering case, Cohen wrote, "She was also in touch with prominent right-wing media figures, including former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and current Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo. All three of them are facing defamation lawsuits from voting technology companies, and Powell’s admissions in the criminal cases could strengthen the defamation allegations."

Why 'money is not a panacea' in Election 2024: Raw Story Editor-in-Chief Dave Levinthal

Candidates running for the presidency and Congress just released some gaudy new fundraising numbers, but Raw Story Editor-in-Chief Dave Levinthal warned to view the big-dollar totals with a healthy dose of skepticism.

"You have to have money in order to be competitive. You absolutely have to have it. If you don't have money, the chances of you winning are next to nil," Levinthal told host Justin Robert Young on the "Politics! Politics! Politics!" podcast. "But money is not a panacea. Money will not alone win you a race. Just ask Michael Bloomberg in the last presidential election. There has to be a confluence of factors — money, popularity, the factors on the ground, the news of the moment — that conspire in a positive way for you to be successful as a candidate."
