Peter Riera, 44, opened fire in Port St. Lucie, Florida, during an argument over how many eggs a chicken can lay, according to witnesses.

Master Sergeant Dominick Mesiti told WPBF that Riera fired four shots from a .45-caliber Glock at three people who he thought were trying to con him outside Harper's Pub early Tuesday morning.

A federal agent reportedly pointed a gun at a peaceful protester in Chicago, telling him, "You're dead, liberal."

In an order two weeks ago, U.S. District Court Judge Sara Ellis said that federal agents must issue two warnings if they determine that crowds pose a risk. On Friday, she ordered Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino to personally appear in court this week after he appeared to violate that order, which barred agents from deploying teargas and other weapons against journalists, protesters, and anyone not posing a threat.

Burton City Council candidate Kris Johns revealed that the man authorities say attacked the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc, Michigan, over the weekend had recently called Mormons "the antichrist."

Johns told the Detroit Free Press that he met Thomas Jacob Sanford while canvassing less than a week ago. According to law enforcement, Sanford used an assault-style rifle to kill two churchgoers on Sunday, while at least two others died in a fire he set. Eight injuries were also reported.
