GREENSBORO, N.C. — An avowed white nationalist who openly supports Russia is a member of the U.S. Army Reserves, recently served in the North Carolina Army National Guard and worked for a local sheriff’s office as a detention officer, according to a Raw Story investigation.

Christopher Woodall, 34, of Winston-Salem, N.C., has a long history of activism in the white power movement that coincided with his service in the U.S. military and government work.

With live gunfire, experts reenact Florida school rampage

Ballistics experts on Friday reenacted the 2018 shooting rampage at a Parkland high school in South Florida as part of an investigation against a police officer accused of failing to act against the perpetrator of the shooting.

The reenactment occurred at the three-story Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School where Nikolas Cruz shot and killed 14 students and three adults on February 14, 2018.

An Ohio burglary suspect dropped from a bank roof to a trash can this week, only to be greeted by the last people he wanted to see: Two police officers with body cameras rolling, according to an NBC News report Friday.

Tristan J. Heidl, 27, of Huron, was booked on suspicion of breaking and entering, possession of criminal tools, and safecracking, the report said. The suspect’s ride took place, ironically enough, at an institution called VacationLand Federal Credit Union in Huron, a city about 50 miles west of Cleveland.

A man who killed a North Dakota police officers and shot two others and a civilian, searched online for "explosive ammo" and looked for crowded events before the shootings.

Mohamad Barakat opened fire July 14 on Fargo police investigating a minor collision, killing 23-year-old Officer Jake Wallin and wounding officers Andrew Dotas and Tyler Hawes, along with driver Karlee Koswick, before a fourth officer fatally shot him, and investigators believe that stopped additional attacks he intended to carry out, reported the Associated Press.

8-year-old accidentally shot by teen brother with a gun found in their car

An 8-year-old child was shot in the chest while in a Walmart parking lot of Choctaw, Oklahoma, on Independence Day when his teen brother was playing with the gun.

Indianapolis block party attack brings mass shooting death toll to 11 in the month of July

Police say a mass shooting at a block party in Indianapolis on Monday evening has killed at least one person and injured four, according to CNN. It adds to ten other mass shootings in July, according to the Gun Violence Archives.

"Several weapons were located at the scene of the shooting, which occurred along Forest Manor Avenue around 11 p.m. Monday, police said Tuesday," reported Mitchell McCluskey. "Officers responded to a report of a person shot and found a woman who had suffered a gunshot wound, police said in a news release. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services. Soon after, multiple people walked into hospitals with gunshot wounds," the report said, citing the release.

Baltimore police confirm two shooters remain loose after deadly block party shooting

In a briefing to the press on Sunday afternoon, Baltimore City Police Commissioner Richard Worley confirmed that they believe there were two shooters involved in the mass shooting that left at least two dead. Another 14 people under 18 years old and at least 15 adults were also injured with gunshots.
