'Lying': Holocaust-denying far-right podcaster insists Kash Patel 'absolutely' knows him

Kash Patel’s claim that he knows nothing about Stew Peters, a conspiracy theorist who has promoted anti-semitic beliefs, was flatly rejected by the far-right host, whose show the FBI director nominee has appeared on multiple times.

"Clearly, Kash Patel is lying. He absolutely does know who I am,” Peters said Thursday on his show, “The Stew Peters Show.”

Judge orders LSU to reinstate law professor sidelined for political comments

A state judge has ordered LSU to allow its law professor Ken Levy to return to teaching duties. The university had removed Levy from the classroom pending an investigation into alleged criticism of Gov. Jeff Landry.

Levy, a tenured professor of constitutional and criminal law, sued the university earlier this week, saying it violated his First Amendment rights and its own policies regarding tenured faculty.

'How do you print a rumor?' NYC Mayor Eric Adams lashes out as he refuses to resign

New York City Mayor Eric Adams faces an indictment from the Justice Department, but under Donald Trump's administration, federal prosecutors have dropped cases related to those close to the new president. A recent New York Times report suggested prosecutors have discussed letting Adams off the hook.

Adams was indicted on five counts over whether he accepted years of luxury travel gifts in exchange for government favors. According to the indictment, Adams persuaded the New York Fire Department to ignore safety concerns and approve the opening of the new Turkish consulate in Manhattan after travel gifts.

Aviation expert blasts Trump's latest 'baseless and unhinged' claims on CNN

Aviation expert Pete Muntean didn't hold back in his assessment of President Donald Trump's assertion that diversity, equity, and inclusion hiring practices were to blame for the mid-air collision over the Potomac River that presumably killed 67 people.

CNN's Jake Tapper asked Muntean, "The investigation of tragedies like this usually takes months, if not years — is there any evidence that hiring practices that President Trump keeps referring to, DEI, played any role in anything that happened?"

'They're all liars': Ex-GOP rep disgusted as Kash Patel denies knowing Holocaust denier

Former Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) has no patience for how one of President Donald Trump's key nominees appeared to dodge responsibility for sitting for an interview with a far-right conspiracy theorist who has denied the Holocaust.

Walsh, a former Tea Party representative who later became an outspoken critic of Trump and the MAGA movement, was reacting to an exchange between Kash Patel, tapped for Trump's FBI director, and Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), at his Thursday confirmation hearing.

Sheriffs take sides in DeSantis' feud with Florida GOP

Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw joined Gov. Ron DeSantis’ effort Thursday morning to publicly bash the Republican-led Legislature over its passage of an immigration bill the governor has labeled weak.

Bradshaw is not the only law enforcement elected official who has sided with DeSantis against the Legislature. Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey vouched for the governor Wednesday during his first public roundtable to condemn the bill, known as the TRUMP Act.

'Words can’t express my disgust': Massive backlash hits Trump over plane response

As first responders work to recover bodies from the freezing waters of the Potomac, President Donald Trump, without evidence, suggested that diversity hiring and Democrats were at least partly responsible for Wednesday night’s mid-air collision that claimed over 60 lives. His politicized remarks from the podium on Thursday have sparked widespread outrage, compounding the grief of many Americans grappling with the nation’s first fatal aviation disaster since 2009. In addition to “DEI,” Trump also baselessly pointed fingers at former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, as well as former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg.

The NTSB has only just begun its investigation, which could take years to determine the cause of the deadly collision.

'Not good!' Analyst makes startling comparison of Trump and Reagan's reaction to crises

President Donald Trump's assertion that his own "common sense" told him all he needed to know about the mid-air collision over the Potomac proves just how much he doesn't want to get involved in learning facts and taking action, according to a new article in The Atlantic.

Trump is a "passive" president more intent on pontificating and "Making America Great Again" in theory, rather than taking charge and actually leading, argues Atlantic staff writer David A. Graham.

'We will look at all the humans': NTSB scrambles to respond as Trump blames DEI for crash

National Transportation Safety Bureau Chair Jennifer Homendy responded that her agency would investigate "all the humans" after President Donald Trump blamed a deadly airplane crash on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies put in place by Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

At an NTSB press conference following Trump's remarks on the mid-air collision in Washington, D.C., Homendy was asked to respond to the president's accusations.

'It's him — and Elon': AOC attacks as Trump tries to pass blame for D.C. plane crash

President Donald Trump and his administration officials triggered immediate outrage on Thursday after blaming the devastating plane crash in Washington, D.C. on "diversity" programs implemented at the Federal Aviation Administration. The crash, which was caused by a midair collision with an Army helicopter, remains under investigation — but no evidence has emerged to support the theory of diversity programs playing a role.

Indeed, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) furiously pointed out on X that just a few days ago, acting on the advice of tech billionaire Elon Musk, Trump ousted key aviation safety officials from their jobs.
