According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, there is no shortage of applicants to be part of Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy's fledgling "Department of Government Efficiency" (DOGE) being created by Donald Trump's administration which has been taking online applications for weeks.

The problem seems to be many of those willing to work for free to search out government waste have been left checking their email and hanging by the phone waiting to hear back with no response, according to the report.

Tennessee Sen. Kenneth Yager’s recent arrest while driving a campaign-funded car on a Georgia vacation sheds renewed light on the pitfalls of lawmakers’ not-uncommon practice of dipping into campaign finances to lease or purchase vehicles.
