Jan. 6 rioter convicted after creating a ‘kill list’ of FBI agents who investigated him

A convicted Jan. 6 rioter from Tennessee was found guilty Wednesday in a separate criminal case for his plan to murder federal law enforcement agents who investigated his role in the Capitol attack, according to the Justice Department.

Edward Kelley, 35, of Maryville, Tennessee, developed a “kill list” of FBI agents and other federal employees who investigated his role in the Capitol attack, federal prosecutors said. Edwards distributed that list – along with video images of FBI employees named on the list – to a co-conspirator as part of his “mission," prosecutors said. They added that he planned attacks on the Knoxville FBI Field Office with car bombs and incendiary devices attached to drones.

Some GOP senators are 'eager to crawl' for Trump amid looming loyalty test: Dem

Donald Trump has given the Republican Senate caucus a test designed to humiliate them in selecting former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) as attorney general and demanding they either confirm him or go into recess to allow him to bypass a vote, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) told CNN's Anderson Cooper on Wednesday.

Gaetz, who resigned last week after being nominated, is the subject of a House Ethics Committee report into allegations of child sex trafficking, drug use, and improper gifts — and the House GOP is still wrangling over whether to let that report see the light of day.

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) tore into Donald Trump's Cabinet nominations on MSNBC's "The ReidOut" Wednesday, saying the government could fall apart simply by virtue of the people below them not taking them seriously.

He took particular aim at Trump's nomination to lead the Pentagon, Fox News personality Pete Hegseth, whose sexual misconduct allegation has caused the Trump team to scramble — and reportedly consider a replacement.

CNN's Jake Tapper was taken aback Wednesday — and slightly amused — by the threats made by one of Donald Trump's key loyalists, Dan Bongino, who is reportedly in contention to head up the Secret Service.

" CNN is reporting that right-wing media personality and former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino — by the way, like years ago, we would have him on to talk about Secret Service issues on this show — he is being considered for Secret Service director," said Tapper to his panel. "Here's some of what he said on his podcast today, on how he views the new administration."
