Tech billionaire Elon Musk, now estranged from his year-long partnership with President Donald Trump, is escalating his threats against the entire Republican Party if they move forward with the president's "big, beautiful bill" on tax cuts.

'Appalling': GOP Medicaid plan forces some parents to choose custody or benefits

Medicaid reform has become a key element of President Donald Trump's fiscal year 2026 budget. On one hand, the GOP seeks to cut more than $700 billion from the program to help pay for Trump's proposed tax cuts. On the other hand, the GOP wants to add work requirements for Medicaid members to receive benefits, which would fulfill a long-standing conservative policy goal.

But the work requirements the GOP is chasing may force some parents to give up guardianship of their children to continue receiving benefits, KFF Health News reports.

“The president has been working hand in hand with Senate Majority Leader Thune and also the Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, both of whom will be at the White House today to meet with the president yet again, I believe they were here this morning, actually,” Leavitt told reporters Monday.

82-year-old dies of injuries after firebombing attack on pro-Israel protest

An 82-year-old woman has died of injuries suffered in a recent firebombing attack on a crowd in Boulder, Colorado, during protests for the release of Israeli hostages.

According to The Colorado Sun, "Karen Diamond, one of 29 victims in the attack, died of severe injuries, the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement Monday announcing additional charges against the suspect, Mohamed Soliman." This suspect "now faces two counts of first-degree murder, both connected to Diamond’s death, as well as 12 federal hate crimes and at least 100 state criminal charges in the June 1 attack."

MAGA adherents, including those in the White House, had a full-blown meltdown over a CNN report on an app called ICEBlock that tracks the activity of Department of Homeland Security officers targeting undocumented migrants for deportation.
